This training provides a generic overview to Image Signal Processor (ISP) pipelines and algorithms. A
simplified example ISP is used to describe the functions that can be found in most ISPs that are
commercially available. After the training, the participants should be familiar with the dozens of
algorithms that need to be run inside an ISP in order to turn the raw image from a camera sensor into
the device independent YUV/RGB frame that can be displayed and/or encoded into still image or video
files. Example images, figures, diagrams, and pseudo code are used to make the presentation more
concrete and practical.
Valosa Imaging Ltd has also another course available, "Introduction to Camera Control Algorithms (3A+)", which is closely related to ISP algorithms and pipelines. However, that course is currently only available as an instructor-led training.
